Five games for groups stress relief

Stress can be defined as external forces from the outside world affecting the individual. However, the Stress also is a normal part of life that can help us develop and grow as people. On the other hand, stress can cause significant problems.

Stress releases powerful neurochemicals and hormones that prepare us for action. The common reason for stress is the fight or flight. If you do not take action, the response stress can lead to health problems. Prolonged, uninterrupted, unexpected, and unmanageable stresses are the most damaging types of stress.

Day after day we are faced with stressful situations. They meet us at every corner of our lives. We face to face and with stress in the lower valleys of life and as summits where we experience real joy of life. The good and bad both come with their own stress patterns.

Meeting groups of people can be particularly problematic. Everyone, no matter how experienced they may be, will feel a degree of stress when faced with a group situation.

Note that if you feel under pressure, then everyone else in the group feels much the same way. However, if you have been called to lead this group then pressure on it will be a greater amount. You are worried about how others perceive you, about whether it will be accepted or not and you're thinking about the task the group also faces. Never lose sight of the big picture, the reason for the existence of the group.

The group will operate and perform its task much best when they feel comfortable with the group. The group dynamics can be influenced by the degree of interaction among group members. If you are the leader then it is your responsibility get the group performs.

You will find the task much easier and less stressful if they are properly prepared. One of the ways you can prepare is to have a bank of stress relief games for groups in question, or at least have an idea of how these games stress relief for the working groups.

You will find that these games help to break the natural barriers that exist as groups begin to form and develop.

Stress relief games for groups # 1: If I Were A. ..

These stress relief games is extremely good in people out of their shells and begin to communicate. Good communication helps in the performance of the group and without the group never achieved its stated objectives.

Its better than the group stand or sit in a circle, this will create a sense of belonging. The leader begins by contacting the person to your right and ask the question "if you work and what animal animals to be you?" This person answer the question and turn the person on your right and make a similar question, like a famous writer would you be? The game continues and everyone has the opportunity to ask a question and respond. Just remember that nobody is allowed to repeat a class.

This is a very simple game with no preparation in advance and that is the best type of game stress relief for a group.

Stress Relief Games for Groups # 2: Who likes what?

In this game everybody has a pencil and a piece of paper on which to list five categories. Basically the categories can be about anything such as "composers", "actors" or any other category like a fantasy.

Now everyone is just your favorite song lists in every part of the category.

Give everyone a piece of paper and a pencil. Then list five categories such as "food" or "musicians." Everyone should write down your favorite thing in each category. All pieces of paper should then be returned to you (the leader). Reading each list aloud, the other group members try to guess what he's reading list.

Stress Relief Games for Groups # 3: Liar, Liar

Here each person in the group of three or four comments about themselves. Some of the comments must be true and some should be false, its up to the rest of the group to decide which are true and which are false.

Stress Relief Games for Groups # 4: Gossip

This one is especially great for groups that have to go to develop a serious sense of communication but you do need at least 10 people to be more effective. The maximum for this game is 20. so having these details in mind if you plan to use.

The idea is that the leader starts whispering a long sentence the person to your right. That person passes the message the person to your right and so the message is sent across the group.

It's amazing how the message will go as it is sent. This game will demonstrate informal communication has changed the shape of your original idea into something that never happened. Will insist on the need to write important notes when the need arises. Not always We rely on word of mouth alone.

Stress Relief Games for Groups # 5: Ethics

This game works well for a small group of adults are known to those who like to talk / discuss issues and not get offended easily. The leader starts the game by moving to a random group member and presenting an ethical dilemma. For example, "If you knew someone was going to kill your worst enemy, try to warn you?" The person answered the question and explains its rationale. Then the group votes on whether or not they believe the person really act as they promised. If the majority of participants thought that the person is lying, he or she is out of play. If the majority thinks that he / she is telling the truth, they are taking another "victim" and raises another ethical dilemma. last player is the winner.

Interview with Author Alan Rolnick About his new book reference condition

Landmark status is a wonderfully funny book. Alan Rolnick Miami used as a backdrop, and real estate as the weapon, to carry the reader on a wild ride I can guarantee you will enjoy. When I put the put the book and wrote the test, I just knew I wanted to talk to this guy. Anyone who can create the quirky characters and surprisingly funny scenes that I found on the site reference state must be a very interesting person to chat. Alan agreed to an interview.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I grew up in Newburgh, New York, a small town on the Hudson River. It was a beautiful, old, proud and largely unknown had become obsolete, mooring cut in history and the drift of the times. As a child, playing in an abandoned brewery, the bus trips to Yankee Stadium and collected autographs from Hector Lopez and Moose Skowron (we never close enough to Mickey and Yogi). Once, a big boy sat on my hand for the entire bus ride, leaving welts striped corduroy that lasted a week, but really was not her fault that I could not throw strikes.

In my teens, Beatlemania beaten. My brother Paul and I decided be rock stars, saving for guitars with the car wash money, playing battle of the bands on the circuit firefighters picnic. Paul was an excellent guitarist and singer destined to become an award-winning producer in New York. I was not, but joined him there after graduating from Johns Hopkins University, specializing in hard flying. Together, we have made brilliant recordings that few heard, got fifty dollars from opening Buffy St. Marie in the Philharmonic Hall, and by chance took home equipment instead of leaving for the concert next weekend at the Mercer Arts Center (which collapsed later that night).

Taking myself journalism through my career, I became the man in the New York Times who used computers to rank college and professional football teams. In 1983, pollsters awarded human Miami Hurricanes national championship, but my favorite team Auburn. I had been in Miami, love the place, and decided it was time to go to school laws (as my family had called since he was six years, usually with comments like, "that talks so much, he's going to be a lawyer.") The idea of living in a gentle breeze caresses you on the way to the door of December was particularly attractive.

Atone for the error of my computer, I heard grievances closed classrooms and pulled all-nighters in the revision of the law, earning induction into the Society of Wig and Robe (which, fortunately, requires no lead of them). After twenty years of schooling, they put me on the day shift, working in a major legal sweatshops in Miami, representation of the robber barons in complex cases in federal courts. Years later, I switched sides and began representing David and Goliath in action class.

In the end, I decided it was time to throw a rope around the places she had known people who had been, and set out to write the type I liked to read history.

What about lawyers, who are all closet authors? In the last year I read at least a dozen books by people in the profession, oh and they have all been very good. I have come to the conclusion that every lawyer should have a book in them.

For God, is there many? Seriously, however, lawyers have to write to eat, and are trained to become "fact patterns" in stories. Many of these stories are stranger than fiction, and they make you yearn to reach their own. Storytelling is crucial in litigation, where winning requires a structure pressing issues, keeping witnesses in his character, and distilling all legal arguments to the pithiest possible paragraph. A classmate used to say he aimed at hearing the imagined word "so, f___ that" after every sentence written argument. The experience of the unification of all law students is fatigue, so I'm not surprised he forgot he said it.

When the idea of landmark status is?

a Miami frontier town, where outsiders easily become insiders, swollen at the bar, tipping back a mojito and quickly learning there is no secret handshake. I'd never been there, and my legal training I had fallen inside sanctum. There, I worked and tangled kaleidoscopically colorful powered agitators were busy with Miami's primary business, purchase and sale of the land itself over and over again. I also became involved in courts some of Miami's most infamous Ponzi schemes. Having become a fan of Elmore Leonard, Carl Hiaasen and Dave Barry, I wanted to do my part to honor this unique, subtropical madhouse. I just had to involve a mad scramble for a piece of property, as a backdrop of investment fraud. And had to have a lawyer in the middle, doing real law, citing real cases.

How long did it take to bring this project to fruition?

Five years. It just seems longer.

I was very impressed with landmark status, I love the dark humor. Are you happy with how it turned out?

First, thanks for the kind words. It is always difficult to know whether the material is working! And yes, I am very happy with the way the book turned out. black humor seems to grow wild here, a place so bright and beautiful that leaves you breathless, even if the catastrophe is ready random attack, well, random. Miami is a city built by people in the race, the cold, persecution or personal impasses, for whom what is (and in) this Magic City tends to encourage a kind of self-absorbed sunlight. It is a narcissistic sense of security and success you can feel simply by turning the face to the sun, to the sudden impact of reality shattering his dream. This happens many times in landmark status, beginning with the wrecking ball in the first scene.

As the characters slip around Miami, where the majority are people of the political and ethnic dominates elsewhere also collide with more serious questions about the American Creed and what has happened to her in our time split. immigration history of each person said it, but Delia, and to a lesser extent, Benjy and Raj, are the only to think about what that all means. Not really set out to explore the history of Miami's origin, how it came to be, who built it, and who came here when or by why. But as it happened, the story became a bit more like "Hawaii" and a little less like "Hawaii Five-O" (car chase tire squealing through Opa-Locka regret). Looking back, I think giving the historical perspective makes it a richer history. It also means that I have to do it again.

Most authors style of his characters after real people, so how Benjy comes from Alan?

Benjy much softer than I am, for one thing. I like to think we share almost unspoken inner sense of good and evil that drives him, even though it makes light thereof. I'm proud of him for that because to swim against the tide is not easy. It also tends to hold the trial much longer than I, and suffers much dumber than I with pleasure. He hates to lose, however, and will do what it takes to win, and we're very similar in that regard. I like your tolerance tolerant scams of connivers around. I have no idea where he got that. And that thing trust fund? Completely invented. All donations will be gratefully accepted.

Are we going to see more adventures Benjy in his next book?

Benjy will definitely be back. Once you find a way do this all web publishing, clues to his whereabouts will be provided on my website (Alan Rolnick).

I commented in my review Landmark State would be very well the transition to the big screen, what are your thoughts?

It's great to hear that suggest that. From the beginning, I thought Landmark State would break a movie (with apologies to the Spanish Inquisition sketch). I can see photos when I set a scene, and I have really wanted to them in pixels as well as words. Of course, the destruction of all cars cost money, so we will not be doing this on a shoestring. At some instead of my desktop, a notebook is devoted to casting choices and music signals. If they were a few years ago, I'd be chasing Dustin Benjy Hoffman to play, but hopefully will be interested in playing Benjy's father Bernard, the legendary zoning lawyer and negotiator.

I understand you are currently working on a film project, can you tell us a little about that?

I'm the executive producer of the film "Canvas" which is in theaters now and will be released on DVD early next year. Produced by Sharon Lane (a force of nature, to whom I am privileged to be married), stars by Joe Pantoliano, Marcia Gay Harden and Devon Gearhart. The film won several festival awards and accolades for its realistic portrayal of a family struggling to cope mental illness. Sharon fought for years to overcome apathy towards the study of this film for the first time indie director Joe Greco. Ultimately, met money and shot ourselves in the South Florida during the 2005 hurricane season legendary, that we almost blew everything to Tues Sharon has another drama development that plays to his experience in managing and working with young actors. I'm on board for business and legal affairs, and could only produce this Exec one, too. I'm fishing for a comedy after that.

You obviously are a multi-faceted person, lawyer, movie maker, and now author. What do you do with all his "spare" time?

I honestly, I have little free time. I'm usually fighting to carve out some to keep up with our son overbooked, Max, who is busy with school, piano lessons, soccer and baseball.

Alan, I want to thank you for taking the time to talk to me, and once again congratulations on creating a wonderful book, I hope you see in the NYT best seller list in the very near future.

Thanks, Simon. It was a pleasure.

Article Writing Tips: How to write articles that publishers love to publish electronic publishing

If you are a writer who has written an article after another and have not yet had one published by a popular online magazine, newsletter or publication, then you might be doing something wrong.

Ezine publishers are desperate for good articles that can be used for distribution, and with a little effort, one of his articles could be published in front of thousands (or millions) of subscribers.

Here are five article writing tips to help you create an article the newsletter editors would like to publish.

Article Writing Tip # 1: be an authority on the subject.

If that have written dozens of articles, but in many different subjects, then no wonder you have not had one of the articles chosen yet. There are a number of articles will be published in order to be seen as an authority in that place: At least a hundred, in most cases.

It may well be more than one hundred articles in a niche, in different directories, as long as your articles circulate properly. Webmasters go to different directories to search for published articles not just one or two. There are some stories of the items being chosen for the main web sites and electronic publications of small lesser-known directories. Do not all your eggs in one or two baskets, or article directories, and credibility to get its name known throughout the web. This is what the big players do.

Remember one thing: big article directories that have made a name for themselves by accepting a lot of items also have plenty rubbish published there too. Some ezine publishers do not want to waste time wading pools of junk to find a hidden treasure. They do not have the time, and instead seek other sources.

Article Writing Tip # 2: it must be legible.

This only covers the basics, but it is important to remember, however, so it is included in this list. A typo may seem a glaring outpointed a webmaster who is to protect its reputation, and that section will be ignored as fast as it has been read.

Spelling and grammar must be perfect in the article. There should be lists and the points used to be easily legible. The subheadings (if any) should be in bold so that the reader has a reason to perform reading. This Article must appear neat and clean, without unnecessary distractions such as excessive use of bold, underline or italics.

Article Writing Tip # 3: Have a quality item

A quality item is one that is well researched so that the content is fresh and prepared so that the reader can understand. It must flow from one point to the next understandable, especially with the road.

The reality of a publisher of electronic publishing is looking for that light bulb moment, when something goes click and anything is clear. A new twist on an idea may be the time, or just a new point of view.

Find something that you can add your article to make a spark ignites the reader and your item will be seen as a valuable commodity.

Remember, the publisher of electronic publishing has to shine in front of their readers too. He has a reputation to uphold in their community and have to find the best of the best articles that are out there. He with a fountain and see your name more.

Article Writing Tip # 4: Make appropriate.

An article on pet rocks probably will not cut it unless the webmaster is looking specifically for one of the value of old toys, or toy past trends. The chances of getting an article picked up are much higher if they are relevant to the issues and circumstances of today or the foreseeable future.

Stay trapped in the latest trends and movements in place and write about them. A good way to do this is to subscribe to receive the latest news and events in place and have them delivered to your mailbox everyday. He looks like new and coming writer on the subject, based on your knowledge of future trends.

Write Article Tip # 5: that's interesting

Nobody wants to read a boring article. Read it yourself. If it's boring and monotonous, despite you have good content and good readability are not collected. If possible, add some controversy, humor or fun information.

While this may not be possible for some subjects, there are many niches that can use exciting content in the article to keep the reader's attention.

If you have write about a more serious, then you should read some other articles have been written about the same or similar issues, and examine different styles of writing.

Some authors have only one way to make a boring subject come to life. There is no reason why you can not do the same yourself, imitating his style a little, add style to an otherwise boring subject.

To see how many readers as an item, check the qualification system and see how Readers have evaluated. Some article directories provide a way for readers to rate the article as giving one to five stars. You can visit to see the comments by readers. Positive comments and praise to validate that you are on the right track with this topic.

Use these tips Article Writing to come up with the best articles I can, so they can get picked up by ezine or newsletter publishers. The time spent in putting together a excellent article is time well invested. If you keep writing and presentation of this type of item, you are almost guaranteed to be noticed in a time and your articles will be published.

This writer will highlight the differences and similarities of the first sura-sixty The Message of the English language translation of the Quran with the meaning of the Qur'an by Muhammad Asad and the English-language translation Sacred Quran the meaning of the Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.

Each verse translation by each translator is placed one after another. Each verse of Sura sixtieth First, As-Saff, translated by Muhammad Asad is marked (A) MA and placed first, followed by the same verse translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, which is marked (A) AYA. This writer then looks closely at each translator the translation style of the original text (the Quran), while the examination of language features.

The first notable thing that this writer found is that Asad Muhammad begins his book on the left begins with pages going from the left side to right side of his book, Abdullah Yusuf Ali while from the right book with pages ranging from the right side to left side of his book. It is a known fact that any book written in Arabic, including the Koran in its original text has its pages is from right to left side of the book as The Holy Quran English language translation the meaning of the Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.

Muhammad Asad uses "solid" to describe "[rows] solid" and Abdullah Yusuf Ali uses "solid" to describe "Solid building structure." The title of this sura is mentioned in this verse. "In [solid lines]" by Muhammad Asad and "in order of battle "of Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Muhammad Asad puts the word" solid "in [] because the word" row "next to the first word Do not connect a single word is not useful in describing the other word. (A) by AYA

5. And when Moses said

Analysis: The five verse version has two paragraphs Muhammad Asad. verse five contains the speech of the Prophet Moses to the children of Israel that Prophet Moses saddened when I believed. In the speech of the Prophet Moses, using different words - "I causes pain "by Muhammad Asad and" disturbing and insulting to me "by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Prophet Muhammad Asad describes Moses as one feeling pain while Abdullah Yusuf Ali describes the emotions of the prophet Moses, more explicit and therefore have felt extreme anger and insulted. "You" is used to refer to the children of Israel as an Muhammad Asad and "you" is used to refer to the children of Israel in version Abdullah Yusuf Ali, adhering, former Modern English and adherence to the latter classic English. But God gives His guidance to evil-doing tradition. (8) The aim is to extinguish the light of God with their statements: but God chose to spread its light in all its fullness, however hatred that can be to all who deny the truth.

8. His intention is

To extinguish Allah's Light

Analysis: verse seven and eight in Muhammad Asad version arranged in two paragraphs. Abdullah Yusuf Ali's version has numbered a after another. The last phrase of verse seven starts a new paragraph in the version of Muhammad Asad. Verse seven localized versions describe both the infidels In other words - "he who invents [] as a lie [a message from God]," by Muhammad Asad and "who invents a lie against Allah" by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Verse eight in both translated versions speak of the infidels trying to extinguish the light of God or Allah, "with its terms" (as amended Muhammad Asad) and "(by blowing) with their mouths" (as amended by Abdullah Yusuf Ali). Both translated versions do not differ much in meaning. They try to reach unbelievers how to put God's messages brought by Prophet Jesus in verse six. The verses of seven and eight of the two versions do not differ much in meaning. They point that God sends or shine its light their orientation or freely, but withdraws his grace to those who voluntarily do not follow their guidelines. The more the unbelievers treat turn off or extinguish its light, His light shines clearer to confound the unbelievers.

(A) MA

(9) It is He Who has sent His Messenger with the [task of] the dissemination of guidance and the religion of truth, so that make it prevail over all religion false] [, however this may be hateful to those who ascribe divinity to aught but God.

(A) by AYA

Analysis: Muhammad Asad nine verse version begins with "He is", and Abdullah Yusuf Ali version "He is ". This gives a classic effect in the English version of Muhammad Asad with their diversion through investment and a greater effect on Abdullah Modern English Yusuf Ali version so that it appears normally. "He" is used to refer to God. conjunctions use different towards the end of verse nine - "However" in the version Muhammad Asad and "although" Abdullah Yusuf Ali version providing cohesion to move forward. "Pagans" in Abdullah Yusuf Ali version is described as "those who ascribe divinity to aught but God" in Muhammad Asad version, the first is a more literal while the second gives readers more than one interpretation. The ninth verse of the two versions do not differ much in meaning. They say that the unbelievers shall not prevail in their unbelief, and that the truth (Islam) to prevail.

(A) MA

(10) O YOU who have attained to faith! I bring to you a business that will save you from [a serious injury in this world and the Hereafter]? "

(A) by AYA

SECTION 2

10. Believers

Should I tell

For a business that

God I forbid

A painful doom?

Analysis: Verse ten marks a new section with the words "Oh you" uppercase version Asad Muhammad - Abdullah Yusuf Ali Marks "Section 2" ten verses. Both versions translated address of believers as in verse two. "You" is used to refer to believers in Muhammad Asad and version "You" is used to refer to believers in Abdullah Yusuf Ali version. The you "gives the effect and the classic English 'you' da Modern English a greater effect. This ad writer that the effect of classical and modern in both English translators books is not consistent. There are cases where both translators have gone back and forth with respect to the effect of Modern and Classical English. However, in general, Muhammad Asad noted that adheres to English Abdullah Yusuf Ali Modern and adheres to the classic English. Both translated versions use "bargain", but use different words for "suffering" in the Muhammad Asad version and "Punishment", Abdullah Yusuf Ali version. Verse ten in both versions do not differ much in meaning. It mentions "a" agreed to give so little and get much in return. This writer feels the word negotiation "is appropriate in a sense that the word is clear and makes one eager to learn more about this "negotiation."

(A) MA

(11) You must believe in God and His messenger and strive hard in God's cause with their possessions and their lives! this is for your own good - but if you knew!

(A) by AYA

11. Believe in Allah

And to His Messenger, and

You strive (your maximum)

In the cause of Allah,

With its heritage

And your people:

That will best for you,

If you knew!

Analysis: The verse eleven of the two versions translated are quite similar, except for a few different words used: "possessions," Muhammad Asad version and "wealth" as an Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Given the context of this sura, possessions and wealth means everything you own has worked and so far in one's life. "His life" in Muhammad Asad version and "their people," Abdullah Yusuf Ali version. These words mean, basically, one's life and the lives of people is responsible one. Given this, the experts said that both Muhammad Asad and Abdullah Yusuf Ali have not given a complete interpretation of these words. "You" is used to refer to believers in Muhammad Asad version and "you" is used to refer to believers in Abdullah Yusuf Ali version, adhering Former modern English and the accession of the latter classic English. Verse eleven of the two versions do not differ much in meaning. They say that Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and possessions, promising them paradise in return. This would be a wonderful business that only knew and understood the comparative value of things.

(A) MA

(12) [Doing so] He will forgive you your sins; and [in the Hereafter] admits you into gardens through which running waters flow, and in good standing in mansions [gardens] of perpetual bliss: they [be] the supreme achievement!

(A) by AYA

12. He will forgive you

Your sins, and ye

A Gardens underneath which

flow of rivers and beautiful

Mansions in the gardens

Of eternity: that is in fact

The supreme triumph.

Analysis: The twelfth verse has descriptions of Paradise. Both versions translated basically use similar words of description - "the flow of running water," Muhammad Asad version and "rivers" version Ali AbdullahYusuf. "Gardens of perpetual bliss," Muhammad Asad version and "Gardens of Eternity," Abdullah Yusuf Ali version. These gardens are a paraphrase of "the supreme triumph." The twelfth verse of the two versions do not differ much in meaning. They mention "the supreme triumph" (Paradise) as a promise of spiritual victory of the Qur'anic message.

(A) MA

(13) And [yet, He will grant you] nothing but love tenderly help of God [in this world], and a victory before coming: and [it, O Prophet,] give you a good news to all who believe.

(A) by AYA

13. And another favor (

Can you give), whom you have

Make love - Allah's help

And a quick victory.

So give the good new

For believers.

Analysis: The conjunction "and" begins verse thirteen, both in the translated versions. "Help from God," Muhammad Asad version and "Allah's help," Abdullah version Yusuf Ali. According to the dictionary, means to aid the relief in time of need. Therefore, the aid is used as a broad term. Verse thirteen of both versions do not differ much in meaning. Ensure victory for those who strive for the cause of Allah. "

(14) O YOU who have attained to faith! Be helpers [in the cause of God - and Jesus son of Mary, said the white-clad,] "Who are my helpers in the cause of God?" - Bringing the white-robed disciples [] replied: "We to be [your] helpers [in the cause] of God! "

And so [did that] some of the children of Israel came to believe [in the ministry of Jesus], while others denied the truth. But [now] we have given his enemies force against those who have [truly] attained to faith: and have become the ones who prevail.

(A) by AYA

14. Oh believe!

Be ye helpers of Allah:

As said Jesus the son Mary

For the disciples, "that

My assistants (the work

Of) Allah? "The disciples said,

"We are Allah's helpers! "

Then some of the children

Israel believes and

A portion disbelieved:

But we gave power

For those who believed

Against their enemies,

And became

Those who won.

Analysis: The verse fourteen is the last verse of this surah. The verse fourteen marks a new section, the words: "Oh you" are capitalized and verse fourteen carries two paragraphs in the version of Muhammad Asad. Abdullah Yusuf Ali version has fourteen lines numbered as the last line. Verse fourteen of both versions translated address of believers in the same way as the verses of two and ten. The first part of verse contains the speech of Prophet Jesus to his disciples and also the speech of disciples of the Prophet Jesus. Prophet Jesus' disciples are called as "dressed in white" s version of Muhammad Asad "and" the expressions Disciples, "Abdullah Yusuf Ali version. The use different" given the force against its enemies, "Muhammad Asad and version" given the power against its enemies "version of Abdullah Yusuf Ali. The verse fourteen of the two versions do not differ much in meaning. Remember the teaching of Jesus Prophet and the children of Israel did not believe. It reminds believers to adhere to the truth if believers are to prevail.

CONCLUSION

In this paper, the two sets of Medina sura of the two versions of the English language translations of the meaning of the Quran by Muhammad Asad and Abdullah Yusuf Ali Sura were compared. The sixtieth First, As-Saff translated by Muhammad Asad and Abdullah Yusuf Ali was marked (A) and MA (A) by AYA, respectively. Similarities and differences were found.

As soon as the language and style variation, language of the whole of Medina sura of the Qur'an's Message - English language translation of the meaning of the Qur'an by Muhammad Asad is usually a modern English, adult, religious - Language class, educated. The language of the same series of Medina sura of the Koran - English language translation of the meaning of the Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali is generally found to be classical English, adult, religious, class, language cultured. For example, in verse seven of Surah As-Saff,

(A) MA

(7) Who could be more unjust than he who invents [] as a lie [a message from God], as it is [but] is called self-surrender to Him?

But God gives His guidance to do, "evil people.

(A) by AYA

7. Who is more unjust

That one that forges

Lie against Allah,

Each time you are invited

For Islam? Allah

Guides not to

Who do evil.

The use of "Does" in verse seven (A) gives AYA English classic effect.

The means of the two sets of Medina sura of the two versions of English language translations of the meaning of the Quran is the language writing, but contain some representations of spoken language. For example, in verse six of Surah As-Saff,

(A) MA

(6) And [this happened, too,] when Jesus son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! Here, I am a God's apostle to you, [send] to confirm the truth of what is left of the Torah, and to give [you] tidings of an apostle to come after me, named Ahmad. "

But when he [Jesus whose coming had] predicted came to them with all evidence of the truth, said: "This course message [of] anything [but] fascinating eloquence!"

(A) by AYA

6. And when Jesus

The son of Mary said:

"Children of Israel!

I am the messenger of Allah

(Submitted), confirming

The Torah (which came)

Before me, and as

Tidings of a Messenger

To come after me

Whose name is Ahmad "

But when it came to them

With clear proofs

They said: "This is

Evident sorcery! "

Verse six containing the speeches of Prophet Jesus and the children of Israel.

The tenor of the two sets of sura of the two versions is usually formal. However, there are instances where the wording became informal, rude. By example, in verse six of Surah As-Saff,

(A) MA

(6) And [this happened, also,] when Jesus son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel, Behold, I am an apostle of God for you, [sent] to confirm the truth of what is left of the Torah, and to give [you] tidings of an apostle that shall come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. "

But when he [Jesus whose coming had] predicted came to them with all evidence of the truth, said: "This message [of his alleged] nothing [but fascinating eloquence]!"

(A) by AYA

6. And when Jesus

The son of Mary said:

"Children of Israel!

I am the messenger of Allah

(Submitted), confirming

The Torah (which came)

Before me, and

Good News of a messenger

To come after me,

Whose name is Ahmad "

But when he came to them

With clear proofs

They said: "This is

evident sorcery! "

The children of Israel called the message that the Prophet Jesus had brought to be "fascinating eloquence" (A) MA and "magic shows" in (A) by AYA. In this case, the wording becomes informal, impolite.

The domain is usually the language of instruction calling everyone to believe in Allah and His messengers and the Day of Judgement. For example, in eleven verses of Surat As-Saff,

(A) MA

(11) You must believe in God and His messenger and strive hard in God's cause with their possessions and their lives! This is for your own good - but if you knew!

(A) by AYA

11. Believe in Allah

Y His Messenger, and

You strive (your maximum)

In sake of Allah,

With its heritage

And your people:

That will be best for you,

If you knew!

The verse of Surat As-Saff eleven o'clock is the language of instruction.

In both versions, there is accessibility in the language used mostly in descriptions of Paradise and Hell. For example, in the twelfth verse of Surah As-Saff,

(A) MA

(12) [Doing so] He will forgive you your sins, and [in the Hereafter] admits you into gardens through which running waters flow, and in good standing in mansions [Gardens] of perpetual bliss: that [is] the supreme achievement!

(A) by AYA

12. He will forgive you

His sins, and admit

For gardens, with

Flowing rivers, and beautiful

Mansions in the gardens

From Eternity: that is indeed

The supreme triumph.

The words used in the twelfth verse of Surah As-Saff to describe the paradise of the two versions are accessible to the reader and are familiar to the reader to help create a clear image of Paradise.

About the Author

I am, at present, a Lecturer in the English Department at the British University in Egypt -- El Shorouk City, Cairo. I am a U.S. citizen with a PhD in English Literature and Applied Linguistics-Stylistics, as well as a master's degree and a postgraduate teaching diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught both in the United States and abroad.
My research is in the field of using English language translations of the Quran as material for the teaching of English language and literature to non-native English speakers. I have done extensive work in this area since 1992, and I have accumulated many case studies and classroom observations. Starting from the experience of substituting sections from the Quran for the standard classroom text, I have employed various pedagogical approaches to teaching the Quran as literature -- questionnaires, stylistic analysis, comparative studies of different English language translations, linguistic analysis of verses, and so on. I have also organized a forum on this topic with experts in the field.
In doing all of this, my intention was not to look at the religious value of the verses, but at the literary value that is so abundant in both the English language translations and the original. I have been able to prepare a number of articles based on the data from my classroom experiences. I would like to share my research-based findings internationally.

horror writing course

Star Trek and a Course in Miracles

Gene Roddenberry first conceived the idea of STAR TREK in 1960, and the first episode aired at 8:30 pm EST, Thursday September 8, 1966. The initial impact was not impressive. TV Guide said "the sky is the limit of this" Trek "and Variety said the series" not work. "Because of a write-in campaign led by science fiction writers and the tenacity of fans, the series lasted three seasons.

From the first episode, Star Trek was unique and one of the first dramas that introduced the idea of how to be illusion. In the cage, the crew of the Enterprise keep blasting away at a large rock formation and could not see the harm they were doing. He kept his vision firmly intact when, in fact, was destroyed. Captain Pike was tortured by the illusions of the horrors of the past makes it look real. Even Viña, his love interest, was so beautiful to him, although she was actually old and distorted. The inhabitants of Talos IV were able to project and realize them illusions with which want to influence. NBC said the cage was "too cerebral" for the average person to understand.

Over the remaining 79 episodes, this illusion versus reality theme was repeated many times. In the trap man a creature that lived on salt could "become" someone elected and therefore posing as various crew members to obtain salt. At Shore Leave, which one was thinking while on a specific planet similar to Earth, manifested as "real." It was an example of how entertain our thoughts become our living situation. Of course, in the program, this place was explained as an amusement park, "where could "create their own pleasure" for recreation. Yet changed our perception of reality forever. Another example is the Ghost of the gun where the shootout at the OK Corral is represented by the projections of the Malkots are able to get Kirk's memory. The key to winning is to recognize and reject the illusion.

STAR TREK was very instrumental in the development of mankind, to future concepts (such as those recently seen in The Secret) that would have seemed too implausible if we had not been conditioned first. Meanwhile, as this series was subtly reshaping the concept of the masses of reality and illusion another route to the same destination was being paved. When humanity is ready for a quantum leap in consciousness, the prophets come in all shapes and sizes of different groups.

In the mid-sixties, Helen Schucman, a conservative Jewish professor of psychology at Columbia University in New York, dreams was very symbolic and moving, she discussed with her colleague, William Thetford. He advised her to write notes on dreams, and she was surprised to find herself in writing, "This is a course in miracles", while perceiving a form of "dictation" of a voice inaudible. Although this was completely out of place for her, she felt destined to write this work, which is predominantly Christian. As each section of the book was developed, was written by William Thetford and remains fully intact. No changes were made.

First published in 1976 finally, the course basically teaches that everything is "real" can not be destroyed or threatened, and that nothing "unreal" actually exists. Therefore, our bodies, our lives, even the Earth itself are illusions based in our own personal and collective expectations and projections.

Like Star Trek, this was new material-a little difficult to accept and perhaps "too brain "to understand. The course teaches how to face our illusions, but more importantly, brings new meaning to the biblical exhortation: "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." It helps to shed light on the miraculous events in the life of Christ and how we do things much greater than it (and remember Christ himself who said that). It identifies Jesus as our brother who recognized the illusion, he awoke and was released. It says that we "sleep" and "dream", lost in our own fantasy created by more than "create" our nightly dreams. When we realize this, or "know the truth," we will wake up to what we really are, and be released from these images planned.

My book, Star Trek Revealed: the spiritual dimension of the original series, examines these issues and several other related topics. Is Available at Amazon.com or through my website href = "http://www.devineadvantage.com"> www.devineadvantage.com

how writing developed

To promote good writing skills

The principle of good writing, not a task for one day, but that comes from long hours of work and work. Good writing is a combination of both "I" and "other." What do I mean? For the "I" I mean personal effort can achieved through reading and practice. In 'Other', I mean a call to those around us or call the need for a situation in which forced to start writing (which is for monetary gain or career development or exposure). Good writing can also arise as a result of environmental grew up in an environment that encourages reading and writing. Parents and teachers for the first time in this case have an important role to play. Keith, in an article "Help your child to learn the writing skills "in the children of children K-6 states that:

The Educational Technology advances have taught us that reading and writing development are intertwined in early learning. The physical act of writing letters and early words increases children's ability to read. The complementary relationship between reading and writing continues long after these early efforts to improve the skills of the fathers of their children dramatically to promote the habit of writing in childhood.

Perhaps we should consider some elements that are associated with good writing:
Originality: good writing involves internalization and bring the best you can! "The act of writing produces something original," says Singham.

The hard work and commitment: the writer must be focused and disciplined, willing to make sacrifice. Raibert says that, since it requires good writing motivation in hard work is a necessity.

In-depth reading: Good writing has to do with consultation for a variety of sources good music. "If you write well ... Read, read, and then read some more. Read good writing. Read bad writing." (Reed).

Variation of sentence structure in writing: the writer must be able to vary the sentence structure, be simple, concise and clear. Reed said that the good works writers are characterized by "the simplicity of their language and the variation of the" sentence structure and length. "

Acquisation good writing skills is a life long process, which can not be limited to a few highlighted items. It is a process that requires patience, persistence and compliance.
